The Monastery St. Trudpert

Around the year 800 AD, the first Benedictine monastery on the right side of the rhine was built in honor of the holy Trudpert, at the place of his grave.

Around the year 800 AD, the first Benedictine monastery on the right side of the rhine was built in honor of the holy Trudpert, at the place of his grave.

For almost thousand years, until the secularization in 1806, the monastry was the cultural, political, clerical and economic centre of the valley and at the same time starting point of the Christianization in the south of the Black Forest.

Opening Hours:

Outside the church services, the baroque parish church of the monastery is open to the public daily.

Admissoin for Guided Tours :

Adults: 2.50 EUR

Children: 1.50 EUR
